Shanghai, December 5, 2023 – WACKER is showcasing two new silicone release agents at Labelexpo Asia 2023: DEHESIVE® 985 CN and CRA® EM 97 CN. DEHESIVE® 985 CN enables relatively light and stable release forces with low silicone transfer, making it a versatile choice across various sectors, particularly well-suited for light release coatings. Meanwhile, CRA® EM 97 CN boasts efficient release force adjustment, excellent shear stability and a high subsequent adhesion, making it ideal for leather release coatings and emulsion-based film coatings. In addition to these, WACKER also introduces DEHESIVE® EM 495 CN, a three-component release agent emulsion suitable for a wide array of applications, including advertising consumables, waterproofing materials and functional films. With its stability, shear resistance and flexible formulations, the product stands out as a reliable choice for diverse applications. Labelexpo Asia 2023 takes place in Shanghai from December 5 to 8.

A locally developed product by WACKER, DEHESIVE®985 CN is a solvent-free silicone release agent, exceptionally well-suited for light release coatings. The release force can be as low as 3-5 g/inch, depending on the amount of coating. Substrates coated with DEHESIVE®985 CN release systems can be easily separated from the adhesive layer in a wide range of applications and conditions. It also has very low silicone transfer properties and excellent adhesion to various substrates. It is suitable for paper coating such as labels and tapes.

CRA®EM 97 CN is an emulsion-based tight release control agent with highly efficient release force adjustment properties, high residual adhesion, good leveling performance, and stable shear resistance. Offering a release force range of 10-800g/inch, it is well suited for leather release coatings and emulsion release die-cutting applications. Emulsion-based release agents are ideal for low coating volumes and eco-friendly coating.

WACKER also introduces DEHESIVE®EM 495 CN at the expo, a three-component emulsion-based release agent that offers unparalleled versatility. Used together with WACKER’s DEHESIVE® emulsion-based crosslinking agent and catalysts, this product allows for tailored formulations to meet specific needs. Diluted directly with water to adjust the amount of coating, it enables release force control to a certain extent. Its low silicone transfer and high residual adhesion make it suitable for both in-line and off-line coating of PET films. DEHESIVE®EM 495 CN also incorporates advanced emulsification technology to help reduce fogging or rainbow patterns that often occur during the coating process.
