低碳可持续 科思创宣布推出零碳足迹MDI

为推动循环经济发展,科思创宣布向客户提供一款零碳足迹MDI(二苯基甲烷二异氰酸酯)。据悉,该产品已通过经ISCC Plus认证的质量平衡方法,使用植物废弃物的替代性原材料,最终可实现零碳排放。

新MDI规格可广泛应用于建筑、冷链和汽车领域。根据通用计算模型,该产品的生产在增值周期中总体不产生二氧化碳排放。科思创在德国克雷菲尔德-于尔丁根、比利时安特卫普和上海基地生产该零碳足迹MDI及其前体,三个基地均已获得ISCC Plus质量平衡认证。

MDI作为更具可持续性的建筑保温绝热材料,是生产聚氨酯(PU)保温板、夹芯板等产品不可或缺的原材料。通过使用聚氨酯保温绝热材料,建筑物的采暖或制冷需求可减少多达70%,不仅减少二氧化碳排放,也可为住户节省开支。材料的厚度可通过设计变薄,实现良好的保温绝热性能,相较于其他保温材料,MDI可以节省资源并释放出更多的可用空间。

在聚氨酯保温材料良好的保温绝热性能的基础上,科思创零碳足迹MDI还有助于减少建筑物生命周期中的隐含碳排放,可以带来进一步的可持续发展效益。

科思创功能材料事业部全球总裁Hermann-Josef Dorholt说:“零碳足迹产品是帮助我们实现可持续发展目标的关键。我们的零碳足迹MDI还有另一个显著优势:作为一个可直接应用的解决方案——我们的客户可以立即在生产中使用,无需改变工艺流程,也不会影响最终产品品质。”
