From September 29th to October 1st, 2021, COSME Week [OSAKA] 2021 was concluded
in success by meeting the high expectations of industry professionals. As the western
Japan’s largest cosmetics comprehensive expo from where the beauty trends create, 164
exhibitors introduced their latest cosmetics and development solutions like OEM,
ingredients, packaging to industry professionals. Since the Osaka edition closed its door
with great success, the next, Tokyo edition which will be held on January 2022 has been
already getting big attention from both exhibitors and visitors.

ーThe exhibition was held while following the
guidelines for Covid-19 control measures of the
Government to ensure the exhibitors’ and
visitors' safety. Under the strict measures
carefully conducted by Show Management,
requiring all exhibitors & visitors to wear a
mask, taking body temperature with
thermography devices, offering hand sanitiser
at all the exhibition entrances, etc., the show
offered a great opportunities to have fruitful
face-to-face business meetings.
As well as exhibition, by reducing the number
of seats to half the usual number as a measure
against Covid-19, the conferences were also
conducted safely. Covering the most relevant
topics in today’s beauty industry like
“sustainability” ”personalised”, the sessions
attracted attendees.
International business were conducted as usual even under COVID-19 situation
Even under the Covid-19 situation, the scenes that the local and international
participants talked business via video call, could be seen everywhere. How international
companies exhibited is because, they took an advantage of “Remote Exhibiting Plan”
which is offered only for companies who could not come to the on-site due to travel
restrictions. With this plan, international exhibitors can showcase their own products at
on-site booth. And on-site staff arranged by Show Management deals with on-site
visitors as interpreter. During three days show, these international booths gained great
attentions from the Japanese distributors who were excited about the long-awaited
opportunity to see the new international products in person.
