The world's largest aquaculture technology exhibition

AQUA NOR is a large-scale aquaculture technology exhibition in the world. The exhibition has been held for the first time since 1979 and is held every two years at the Trondheim Exhibition Hall in Norway.​​

Extensive exhibition scope: The exhibition scope is wide, including: sea cage aquaculture fishing boats, fishing nets, mooring systems; feed and feed additives; seafood import and export, processing; seafood artificial hatching, aquaculture seafood processing and packaging machinery; equipment weighing , measuring and quality control equipment seafood refrigeration, transport and handling equipment.​​

Large scale of exhibition: As the largest aquaculture technology exhibition in the world, the number of visitors to the last exhibition reached 15,000, and the exhibition area reached 15,000 square meters. A total of 578 exhibitors from more than 50 countries participated in the exhibition. According to the survey of the exhibition, the exhibition of aquaculture seafood is particularly valued by the visitors.​​

After the establishment of the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries in 1992, The Nor-Fishing Foundation was granted the exclusive right to organize the international fisheries trade fairs Nor-Fishing and Aqua Nor. Market analysis  

According to the data of the country-by-country report, from January to September, the bilateral trade in goods between Norway and China was US$8.13 billion, an increase of 9.9%. Among them, Norway’s exports to China were US$1.80 billion, up 15.8%, accounting for 2.0% of Norway’s total exports, down 0.05%; Norway’s imports from China were US$6.33 billion, up 8.4%, accounting for 9.7% of Norway’s total imports, down 0.2 percentage points . Norway's trade deficit was US$4.53 billion, an increase of 5.7%. As of September, China was Norway's 10th largest export market and third largest source of imports. And among the main components of Norway's exports to China, fish and other aquatic invertebrates ranked second. From January to September 2018, the value of exports was US$321 million, compared with US$259 million in the same period last year, an increase of 24% year-on-year. This figure shows that the Norwegian aquaculture industry is still in a booming stage. In fact, Norway, as the world's second exporter of seafood and the world's largest salmon farming country, produces about 55% of the world's farmed salmon, has developed a sound salmon industry chain, and is also one of the countries with advanced fisheries facilities in the world. . In Norway, aquaculture has replaced fishing as the backbone of Norwegian seafood.
