NPO for Procurement, Purchasing and SCM Professionals

The Japan Supply Management AssociationTM ^will contribute to the development of the Japanese economy and society through the development of global procurement, purchasing and SCM professionals. In addition, we provide support for acquisition of CPSM, the world's most famous international qualification for procurement, purchasing and SCM qualifications. CPSM is an international qualification program that develops future procurement managers and procurement officers who are active globally. Global SCM professionals need not only purchasing and procurement, but also economic theory and market trends , geopolitical international situations , scenario planning and roadmaps , business management , operational management (including quality control) , and the value chain that lies behind SCM. including marketing , project management , internal control and risk management (including BCM and risk finance) , management accounting and corporate finance , relevant domestic and foreign laws and regulations , the latest ICT and technology , CSR (including SDGs) , purchasing ethics and organizational behavior. leadership basedA wide range of knowledge is required. In cooperation with ISM, the world's largest SCM professional network, and academic societies and associations in Europe and Asia, we will provide cutting-edge knowledge and career building support to global SCM professionals who are active in the age of VUCA.

NPO ISM Japan is the exclusive partner of ISM. ISM is the largest non-profit association for Supply Management Professional since 1915 and is famous for ISM Index such as PMI referred by global business persons and for CPSM which is the most recognized certificate for purchasing, procurement and SCM professionals in the world. In the other words, except for CPSM(US) or CIPS (UK), there are no certificates recognized in purchasing, procurement and SCM business globally. NPO ISM propels the career support with CPSM for SCM professionals in Japan.

NPO ISM Japan also has broader global networks to academies or institutes in Europe and Asia as well as US .

NPO ISM Japan provides the variety of support program, such as training program to get the certificate of CPSM or to get cutting-edge knowledge and information on SCM, mandatory continuous training hours (60 certificate education hours for 3 years) to maintain CPSM certificate so called ‘Inside Supply Seminar’ in terms of latest supply management from US, France and Japan, intercommunion among members in various industries, free subscription of documents with ISM index, supports for entities or organization to explore an optimized SCM network globally or within Japan.
