China International Machine Tool Show

Since founding in 1989, China International Machine Tool Show held in every odd year has been successfully held 17 sessions so far. CIMT is the most prestigious, largest scale and most influential professional machine tool exhibition in China, regarded by the global machine tool industry as with the same popularity of EMO of Europe, IMTS of US and JIMTOF of Japan. CIMT is one of the four famous international machine tool exhibitions, which could not be missed. Along with the continuous lift of international standing and influence, CIMT has become an important place for exchange and trade of advanced global manufacturing technology, and a display platform for the latest achievement of modern equipment manufacturing technology, and vane & barometer of machinery manufacturing technology progress and machine tool industry development in China. The 17th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT2021) was held from April 12th-17th, 2021 at China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall), Beijing. The theme for CIMT2021 was “Win the smart future together”. As the first world machine tool exhibition held in the post pandemic period, CIMT2021 has attracted great attention from the global industry. There are 1523 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions in the world participating in the exhibition, among them, 878 were domestic exhibitors and 645 came from overseas, machine tool associations and trade promotion organizations from 13 countries and regions in the United States, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Britain, Czech Republic, South Korea, India, Chinese Taiwan region and Chinese Hong Kong region organized pavilions to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition used all of the 8 indoor exhibition halls and 4 temporary exhibition halls of the venue, the total exhibition area was 135,000 square meters. The level, variety and specification coverage of the exhibits exhibited in this exhibition have reached a new level, more than one hundred new products from well-known manufacturers are displayed at the exhibition as the world's first and China's first. During the exhibition, 82 forums, conferences and technical exchange activities were organized by the exhibition organizers, machine tool associations, exhibitors and colleges. The 6-day exhibition attracted 122,036 professional visitors from 18 countries and regions, the total number of entering the venue was 261,639. More than 20 times of visits and surveys were organized by relevant government departments and institutions such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Commerce. User enterprises in aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding, military industry, energy, rail transit and other fields organized a large number of technical experts and procurement teams to visit the exhibition. Affected by the COVID-19, although the number of overseas visitors decreased significantly, user enterprises in various industries in the domestic and overseas trade system sent professional purchasing groups, and the popularity of the exhibition exceeded expectation. China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall)

The total planned area of the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) is 155.5 hectares. After completion, it will become the largest exhibition center with the most comprehensive functions in Beijing. It will include 16 separable single structure, single layer, no column, large space exhibition halls, and the indoor area will be 200 thousand square meters. Each exhibition hall can independently display small exhibitions, and halls can connect with each other through internal corridors to facilitate the hosting of large-scale exhibitions. In the first phase, 8 pavilions were built, with an indoor area of 100 thousand square meters and an outdoor area of 50 thousand square meters. Since it was put into use in 2008, the number of exhibition has increased rapidly year by year. At present, more than 30 exhibitions are held every year, most of which are famous large and medium-sized exhibitions at home and abroad. It has greatly promoted the rapid development of Beijing exhibition industry and made new contributions to the increasing prosperity of the exhibition economy and economics and commerce in China.

The Shunyi Hall of China International Exhibition Center is located in the business district of Tianzhu Airport City, Shunyi, Beijing. It is located east to the Capital International Airport and west to the Wenyu river ecological corridor. The traffic is convenient and the scenery is beautiful. There are highway networks composed of Beijing-Miyun road, fifth ring road, sixth ring road, airport highway and Jingcheng highway. Public transportation includes light rail train, city bus, airport bus and taxi.

At 10:00 a.m. on April 10, 2023, the global machine tool community, as well as the upstream and downstream segments of the industry gathered at China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall), Beijing, for the opening ceremony of the much-anticipated 18th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT2023)! CIMT2023 is a special exhibition that comes amid the great expectations of industry insiders and outsiders, as China has achieved positive results in overall epidemic control, and steadily moved into a stage of regular epidemic control when the measures against Category B infectious diseases have come into effect.

With the total output value, consumption and imports of metalworking machine tools standing at 27.11 billion U.S. dollars, 27.41 billion U.S. dollars and 6.6 billion U.S. dollars respectively, China remains the world's largest machine tool producer and consumption market.
