WATER KOREA started as an exhibition event in Daegu Metropolitan City in 2002. It was a time when there was no concept of the water industry, and it started as a water supply and sewerage equipment specialized exhibition (B2G), not a general exhibition (B2C).
WATER KOREA began as a cooperative relationship co-hosted with local governments, which are member organizations of the association, and co-hosted with Daegu Metropolitan City in the first year. Over the years, conferences, seminars, various contests, citizen participation programs, and member exchange programs have been developed, and it has established itself as an exhibition that represents Korea's water industry both in name and reality.
WATER KOREA has been touring special and metropolitan cities, and is now being held every two years, touring KINTEX and regional areas once.
In the past, it was held in November every year until 2011, but since 2012, it has been moved to March in consideration of the characteristics of the water industry, and is being promoted in conjunction with the World Water Day government ceremony (every March 22).
